Murexin

Slabs up to 60×60 cm in drainage mortar

The larger the format laid outdoors, the more you have to think about secure laying and advance planning. It is important to ensure that it is frost-proof, and that stresses in the substrate have already been absorbed; if this is not the case, cracks will appear, and this should be avoided at all costs. The advantage of this system lies in the water-permeable drainage mortar, which enables optimal drainage of water, efficiently minimizing frost damage to the surface. The substrate should have a sufficient incline of at least 2%. Construction waterproofing protects the substrate from moisture penetration and frost damage. For even greater security, professional drainage mats can be used, which perfectly complement our Murexin system. Laying using the wet-on-wet method is recommended. The material to be laid is tapped directly into the freshly laid drainage mortar. Flexible adhesive mortar S1 is applied to the back of the panel as an adhesive bridge and tapped directly into the fresh drainage mortar. The use of the trass-containing flexible adhesive mortar KTF 55 reduces the risk of efflorescence.
