Bonded Sealing Plus

The Plus composite seal was developed by the Austrian Tile Association as a solution for safe sealing in bathrooms, showers and wetrooms. From a material point of view, this involves waterproof sheeting bonded to cement or reaction resin-based composite seals. This Plus composite seal can replace a construction seal in the bathroom up to moisture exposure class W4. However, their execution must be requested and defined separately. The waterproofing membrane may either be laid with an overlap of at least 5 cm or end to end, whereby the joints are to be finished with a sealing tape at least 10 cm wide. Below you will find a description of our Murexin system: The standard substrate is to be primed with deep primer LF 15 diluted with water in a mixing ratio of 1:2. Adhere the sealing and decoupling membrane AE 100 to the substrate as bubble-free as possible (depending on the roughness of the substrate, use the 4, 5 or 6 mm toothing) using fluid foil 2 KS (or alternatively Rapid professional sealing compound Maximo PSM 1K professional rapid sealing film). If there is an overlap of at least 5 cm, these overhangs must be glued with fluid foil 2 KS (or alternatively Rapid professional sealing compound Maximo PSM 1K professional rapid sealing film, special adhesive X-Bond MS-K88 Express special adhesive or X-Bond MS-D81 special sealant). In the case of a butt-to-butt design, the transition area is to be bonded with the Murexin sealing tape DB 60 or DB 70 and painted over with fluid foil 2 KS (alternatively Rapid professional sealing compound Maximo PSM 1K professional rapid sealing film, X-Bond MS-K88 Express special adhesive or special sealant X-Bond MS-D81 ). In the wall and floor corner area, the MUREXIN sealing tape DB 60 or DB 70 sealing tape must be professionally incorporated with the inside and outside corners belonging to the system.
